summary

Cook Four Courses in a Corfu Kitchen, Then Sit Down to Eat Them

You arrive and get assigned a cooking role, then pick fresh vegetables from the garden and prepare four starters, a Greek salad, a main course from Corfiot or Greek tradition, and dessert. Wine and tsipouro flow throughout. Once cooking ends, you sit and eat everything you made together. The whole experience runs 4.5 to 6 hours and includes all ingredients, equipment, lunch, and beverages.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to learn Greek cooking hands-on without a lecture format—Christos guides you through the work, and the garden vegetables mean the food tastes different than a standard class recipe. The 4.5–6 hour window gives you time to cook properly and sit down hungry to eat what you made.

itinerary

Step-by-step itinerary

Day 1 — Hands-on Greek cooking class

  • Brief chat and role assignment
  • Pick fresh vegetables from garden
  • Prepare four starters together
  • Make traditional Greek salad
  • Cook main Corfiot or Greek dish
  • Enjoy local white wine
  • Prepare traditional Greek dessert
  • Gather and enjoy the feast

The class starts with Christos assigning roles based on what you've cooked before—or haven't. Then you walk to the garden and pick vegetables that are actually ripe, which changes how the whole day feels. You're not following a recipe card; you're starting with what's growing. The cooking takes between 4.5 and 6 hours depending on the menu and how many people show up, and the pace is built around that, not around a clock.

You'll prepare four starters together—bouyourdi (baked cheese and peppers), kolokithokeftedes (zucchini patties), and a few others—then move to a proper Greek salad made with ingredients from that same garden. The main course shifts: it might be bourdetto, a famous Corfiot fish dish cooked in chilli powder sauce, or sofrito, beef sliced thin and cooked in garlic and vinegar. Christos is there the whole time, guiding and adjusting, not lecturing. Between courses there's tsipouro, a homemade distilled spirit from mainland Greece, and a local white wine that tastes different when you've just finished cooking.

Once everything is ready—and this is the part that matters—you stop cooking and sit down together. The feast is what you made: starters, salad, the main, and a Greek dessert (baklava, halva, galaktoboureko, or orange pie, depending on the day). It's not plated for you. It's the thing you built, now on the table, and you eat it with the people who built it alongside you. The class runs in English and French, so language isn't a barrier. Note that the class needs at least two participants to run; if you're booking alone and no one else signs up that day, you'd need to reschedule.
