The experience
You get picked up from your hotel or residence and driven 40 minutes out of Accra to start the day. The route takes you through the countryside, and you'll see more of it later when you head to the waterfalls. The operator builds the day around riding in the cooler morning hours, so you'll get on the quad bikes first while the temperature is still manageable, then move to the garden tour and the waterfall swim afterward.
Once you arrive at the riding area, an instructor gives you a safety talk and all the gear you need before you set out on the quad bikes. The route is described as offbeat and adventurous: zigzag mountain roads rather than a standard circuit. After the riding portion, you'll be taken on a guided tour of the botanical garden, where you'll learn about important plants and their scientific uses. The garden also has trees planted by world leaders who have visited Ghana, which the guide will point out.
After the garden, it's about a 45-minute drive to the waterfalls to cool off and see more of the countryside. If you want lunch, the operator will take you to a restaurant in the area before the drive back to Accra. Bottled water is provided throughout, and the vehicle is air-conditioned for the drives between sites.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the quad biking like on this ride?
The quad biking follows zigzag mountain roads in an offbeat, adventurous style rather than a prepared track. You ride in the morning when it's cooler, and an instructor is with you the whole time. All safety gear and the quad bike itself are provided, and you get a safety talk before you start.
What will I see at the botanical garden?
The botanical garden tour covers important plants and their scientific uses. You'll also see trees that were planted by world leaders who have visited Ghana, which the guide will explain as you walk through.
How much time do I spend riding versus other activities?
The day is split between the quad biking in the morning, the botanical garden tour, and the waterfall stop. The exact breakdown depends on how the 4 to 6 hours breaks down, but riding is the main event, followed by the garden and then the waterfall swim to cool off.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included in the experience. If you want to eat, the operator will take you to a restaurant in the area before heading back to Accra.
What's the minimum age to ride?
The minimum age is 12 years old. Children under that age can still come along in the vehicle for the garden tour and waterfall stop, but they won't be able to ride the quad bikes.
