Step-by-step itinerary
Visit Nazi Rally Grounds and Factory Outlet
- Explore Nazi Party Rally Grounds
- Tour Puma and Adidas Factory Outlet
The experience
The tour opens at the Documentation Center on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in southeast Nuremberg, where the massive stone structures still standing testify to the scale of the regime's ambitions. A guide walks you through the site and its exhibits, grounding the architecture in the history it was built to serve. From there, private transportation takes you south to Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, where the Puma and Adidas factory outlet occupies the headquarters where Adolf Dassler began making sports shoes in his mother's kitchen after World War I. The outlet lets you browse the full range of both brands at discount prices.
The tour runs four to five hours total and includes all transportation between Nuremberg and Herzogenaurach, pickup from your hotel or a central meeting point, and drop-off at the end. Your guide speaks one of five languages and can tailor the pacing to your interests. If you want to add the Nuremberg Justice Palace (the courthouse where Nazi leaders faced trial), you can arrange that as an optional stop on any day except Tuesday, when it closes.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese.
What exactly is the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and why does it still matter?
The Rally Grounds in southeast Nuremberg were the ceremonial center of the Nazi regime, hosting massive propaganda events. The Documentation Center uses the remaining structures and exhibits to explain how the architecture itself was designed to project power and control. Visiting it gives context to how the regime used spectacle and scale to build support.
Can I see the Nuremberg Justice Palace on this tour?
The Justice Palace, where the trials of Nazi leaders took place after the war, is available as an optional add-on. It is closed on Tuesdays, so you can include it on any other day of the week if you choose it at checkout.
How did Adidas and Puma end up in the same town?
Both brands trace back to Herzogenaurach and the Dassler brothers. Adolf Dassler founded what became Adidas. His brother Rudolf founded Puma. The factory outlet you visit sits in the original headquarters where Adi Dassler started making shoes after World War I, and it now carries both brands at reduced prices.
Is the tour accessible for people with mobility challenges?
Yes. All areas of both the Documentation Center and the factory outlet are wheelchair accessible, and the private vehicle can accommodate wheelchairs. Specialized infant seats are available if you are traveling with small children.
