Day one stays in Tbilisi, moving between the Narikala Fortress overlooking the Mtkvari River, the Holy Trinity Cathedral (completed in 2004 and one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world), Metekhi Church, and the old Abanotubani district with its naturally hot sulphur baths. You'll walk Rustaveli Avenue and Shardeni Street, where galleries and restaurants line the narrow lanes. Day two heads to Kakheti, Georgia's wine region: you stop at a traditional winemaking company, taste wine, visit the St. Nino's Convent Cathedral in Bodbe, and explore Sighnaghi, a hilltop town with views across the Alazani Valley.
