The Experience

Erwan met us at the hotel in Nice at 8:30am with a thermos of coffee and a map marked with three vineyards he'd been visiting for years. One woman asked about living in the region, and Erwan talked about it for twenty minutes like he was telling a friend, not performing.

The drive between vineyards gave you space to breathe and digest what you'd learned. The air-conditioned van meant nobody was uncomfortable in the heat, and Erwan played music that fit the region without being cheesy.
