Gevrey-Chambertin is where the day begins. After a short drive from Dijon, you arrive at your first winery in this prestigious area and taste the Côte de Nuits' Pinot Noir: the wines that define the region's reputation. The guide walks you through what makes these reds distinctive, their structure and aging potential, and the specific terroir of the vineyard you're standing in.

By mid-morning you're in Beaune, the commercial heart of the Côte de Beaune, where a second tasting introduces you to the region's Chardonnays. After tasting, you have time to stroll through the historic center on your own: Place Carnot and the Hospices de Beaune are there to see, though entry to the Hospices is separate. Lunch is free time at one of Beaune's restaurants, so you eat what you want and set your own pace.

The afternoon takes you south along the Route des Grands Crus toward Meursault. Your third winery sits in this celebrated white-wine territory, and the tasting here runs ninety minutes: longer than the first two, giving you space to explore the refined profiles of Meursault's Burgundy and the broader range of Côte de Beaune wines. After this final tasting, the drive back to Dijon closes the day.
