A snowmobile safari in Rovaniemi where you drive your own machine through winter landscapes for approximately one hour, with full instruction, thermal gear and a guide in English. The experience

You get about an hour of actual snowmobile driving, which means the full three-hour experience includes gearing up, safety instruction and a guided route through the Arctic terrain. The operator provides detailed instruction on how to operate the machine safely, so no prior experience is required. Thermal overalls, boots, helmet and balaclavas come with the booking. You show up and get dressed for the cold.

Two options let you choose how to ride: solo driver, where you operate the snowmobile alone, or shared driving, where two adults take turns on the same machine. Either way, a guide in English leads the group and sets the pace. The group needs at least four people to run, and extreme weather can force a reschedule. Warm juice and cookies come at the end of the ride.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are included if you're staying within 10km of Rovaniemi city centre. You'll need to be ready in your lobby ten minutes before the scheduled time. If you want to drive, you must be 18 or older and carry a valid driver's license. Passengers of any age can ride along, though children under 140cm travel in a sled towed behind the guide's snowmobile instead.
