An Arctic Circle snowmobile safari in Rovaniemi where you ride your own machine through wintry forests at a beginner-friendly pace of 10 km/hr. The experience

You'll spend roughly an hour total, with 30 to 40 minutes actually on the snowmobile. The pace is deliberately slow, 10 km/hr, so you can focus on handling the machine and taking in the forest scenery without pressure. The snowmobiles are two-seater models, and if you have a valid B-category driver's license, you'll get time behind the controls. If not, the sleigh option lets you experience the same route without driving. Either way, you stop for photos at points where the landscape opens up.

Thermal clothing is provided: an overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks and a scarf. Your guide speaks English and will walk you through the basics before you head out. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, though the exact time may shift by up to 15 minutes depending on other participants joining that departure. Children from age 4 can join, riding in the sleigh pulled behind the guide's snowmobile.

If you're driving, you must bring a valid driver's license written in Roman letters, no digital versions, and you'll be at least 18 years old. The operator offers optional damage insurance for €20, which caps your liability at €200 per person. Without it, the self-risk is €900 per accident. Bring your license physically. It has to be present and valid in EU countries.
