The experience
You're picked up from your Dahab hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and driven to the launch site on the beach. Once there, the crew harnesses you into the parasail rig (safety equipment is provided), and you're towed behind the boat as the parachute catches the wind and pulls you skyward. The ascent is steady. Within moments the beach recedes and the Red Sea spreads out beneath you in shades of blue and green.
The 20 minutes aloft is the core of it: you're suspended high enough to see the curve of the coastline, the reef structure below the surface, and the desert meeting the water. There's wind noise and the physical sensation of being lifted, but no pedaling, no steering. The boat does the work. A professional guide manages the operation from below and handles the landing, which brings you back to the beach in one smooth motion.
After you're unharassed and back on solid ground, the same vehicle returns you to your hotel. The whole outing (pickup, drive, setup, flight and return) fits into a morning or afternoon slot without eating the rest of your day.
