The experience
The boat leaves Aswan with pickup from your hotel, airport or train station. After lunch on board, you visit the Aswan High Dam and Philae Temple, then sail on a traditional felucca before dinner. The next two days follow the river south to north: Kom Ombo and Edfu temples come to you as the ship moves, with meals and tea served between stops. A Galabia party (traditional dress evening) happens on the second night. On day three you reach Luxor and cross to the west bank to walk the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple and the Colossi of Memnon. The final morning brings Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple before you disembark by noon.
A private Egyptologist guide in your chosen language (English, Spanish, Italian, French or another) leads the temple visits and explains what you're standing in front of. All entrance fees are covered. The ship is one of three vessels (Ms Blue Shadow, Ms Concerto or Ms Princess Sara) each a 5-star property where you sleep each night. Transfers between the ship and each temple site are by private air-conditioned vehicle, so you're not waiting for a group or navigating transport yourself.
Children from age one travel at the same rate as adults. The ship and all temple sites are wheelchair accessible, and specialized infant seats are available if you're traveling with a baby. If you want to add Abu Simbel temple (a longer optional excursion from Aswan), you can arrange that separately at checkout.
