The Experience

Each island gets around an hour. You wade onto white sand, swim in water so shallow and clear it feels unreal, lie down and do nothing for twenty minutes if that's what you want. The snorkeling happens at two separate reef stops on the way, with about 45 minutes at each one. A guide goes in with you, points out the coral formations and the small fish moving through them, makes sure your mask isn't leaking. The Red Sea marine life isn't as dense as some places, but it's there — parrotfish, grouper, the occasional turtle if you're lucky.
