Hurghada snorkeling and sailing trip: Pirates boat to Orange Bay
A morning in the water, multiple snorkeling stops, one boat that does the work
A snorkeling and sailing trip from Hurghada aboard a Pirates wooden yacht to Orange Bay, with two guided snorkeling stops, an on-board buffet lunch and air-conditioned lower decks. The boat departs at 9am most days (1pm Saturday and Wednesday), returns around 3pm, and includes all snorkeling gear and pickup from your hotel. Children from age 1 are welcome, and the boat is fully wheelchair accessible.
The Experience
The Pirates boat leaves the marina at 9am and sails for roughly an hour to reach the snorkeling sites. You spend the first stop—about an hour in the water—guided through the reef with your own snorkeling gear provided. The second stop is another hour of snorkeling at a different site. Between the water and the sailing, you're on the boat from 9am until around 3pm.
Lunch happens on board in the air-conditioned lower salon, where the buffet spreads across seafood soup, three fresh salads, rice and pasta, shrimp, calamari, fish, chicken and kofta, plus seasonal fruit. The upper sun deck stays open if you want to sit in the air and watch the Red Sea while you eat. The boat itself is the draw here—twin masted, wooden, built to look like the sailing ships of centuries past, with marble and wood trim throughout and a Pirates theme woven into the decor.
Pickup is included from your Hurghada hotel. The boat runs Sunday through Friday at 9am, and Saturday and Wednesday at 1pm. A live guide speaks English and German throughout the snorkeling portions. All snorkeling equipment, the air-conditioned cabin, and lunch are included in the price.

Is this one for you? Most Red Sea snorkeling boats leave you managing the schedule—when to get ready, when to eat, when to move between sites. This one handles the sailing and the timing, so you show up at your hotel pickup and step off the boat back at the marina with the snorkeling done, lunch finished and the day still ahead of you.
