The experience

Your guide picks you up at your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8:00 am and drives you first to Baron Palace. Edward Empain, a French industrialist who helped build the Paris metro, received the title of Baron from the French king and later chose to settle in Egypt. He even requested to be buried there. The palace stands as a monument to his legacy and the architectural ambitions of early 20th-century Cairo.

Next is Abdeen Palace, considered one of the world's most luxurious palaces for its decoration alone. The halls and wings are scattered with hundreds of clocks, most of them trimmed in pure gold, and the paintings and furnishings reflect centuries of royal taste. You walk through rooms designed to impress, with your guide explaining the stories behind the craftsmanship and the people who lived there.

The final stop is Manial Palace, also known as the Palace Museum of Prince Mohamed Ali. This one is unusual because it blends multiple cultures and eras under one roof: Islamic design sits alongside European architecture, each wing reflecting a different period. There are designated photo spots throughout, so you leave with images of the interiors and courtyards. After the palace, your driver takes you back to your hotel.
