The Experience

Your guide picks you up at your Cairo or Giza hotel at 6 pm in a private vehicle and takes you to the Nile. Once aboard, you have access to an open buffet of Egyptian food throughout the 2-hour cruise. The boat sails while you eat, and the city lights reflect off the water as darkness falls — the best time to photograph Cairo from the river.

The entertainment runs the full 2 hours. A belly dancer performs an oriental show, and later a male dancer in traditional Tanora costume — a wide skirt and scarf — performs the folk dance that gives the show its name. The Tanora dancer spins and moves in ways the costume makes possible, a style rooted in Egyptian tradition. Between courses and performances, you watch the Nile pass and the lit-up banks of the city.

After the cruise ends, your driver takes you back to your hotel. The only thing not included is drinks; food, transport, guide and entry are all arranged. The whole outing takes about 4 hours from pickup to return.
