Step-by-step itinerary
Dinner cruise with dance performances
- Get ready for pick-up
- Travel to Nile River port
- Enjoy dinner cruise on Nile
- Watch belly dance and Tannoura show
- Listen to live Egyptian band
- Return to hotel
The experience
You get picked up from your hotel in Downtown Cairo or the Pyramid Area and driven to the port in a modern vehicle. Once on deck, an Egyptian meal is served as the boat sails through the city's nighttime highlights. The Nile itself becomes the setting: you watch Cairo's skyline illuminate while seated at your table, with the river flowing past on both sides.
The evening centers on two distinct performances. A belly dancer takes the stage first, followed by a Tannoura performer: the latter spinning in the traditional whirling skirt style that has roots in Sufi practice. A live Egyptian band plays throughout, and the guide (available in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic) is there to answer questions about what you're watching. Water is provided. Other beverages are available depending on which cruise option you book.
After the performances wind down, you're returned to your hotel. The whole experience runs between two and three hours from pickup to drop-off, making it a manageable addition to an evening in Cairo without eating into the next day's plans.
