The experience
You'll travel 15 minutes by car to Chamana waterfall, where you'll gear up in a wetsuit, helmet, harness and jacket, then walk 10 minutes to the canyon top. The guide runs through the safety talk before you start the descent: five waterfalls stacked down the canyon, each one a different technique. Some you rappel on rope, others you slide down like a natural waterslide, and the main event is the 35-meter jump. The guide photographs the whole thing on a waterproof camera so you leave with the images.
The canyon mixes rappelling and tobogganing (watersliding) so you're not doing the same motion five times. Water flows year-round, and the route is designed to keep you moving through the canyon rather than sitting in one spot. A live guide stays with your group the whole time and handles the rope setup at each drop.

Is this one for you?The canyon involves water entry, climbing and rappelling on rope, so it asks for a moderate level of movement and comfort in water. It's not a passive tour, and the 3.5-hour timeframe means you're active the whole afternoon rather than watching from a platform.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (14 to 26 years); Child (9 to 13 years). Children under 9 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if I've never rappelled before?
The guide teaches rappelling technique at the top of the canyon before you start the descent. You practice on the first waterfall before moving to the larger drops, and the guide controls the rope and your speed.
Do I need to bring my own wetsuit and helmet?
No. Canyoning equipment including wetsuit, helmet, harness, jacket and shoes are all provided and fitted to you before the walk to the canyon.
Will I get photos from the day?
Yes. The guide captures photos and videos on a waterproof camera throughout the canyon, and they're included in your tour.
What's the difference between the 35-meter waterfall and the smaller ones?
The 35-meter waterfall is the main drop at the end of the canyon. The other four waterfalls range from 8 to 25 meters and use different techniques (some rappel, some slide), so you build up to the biggest one.
