The Experience

The day starts at the Anamuya Mountains, where you'll gear up for the zipline course. Specialized guides walk you through the safety setup and how to move through the 12 lines—you're not watching from below, you're clipped in and moving across 18 platforms suspended over the rainforest. The course takes the morning, and the guides are there to make sure the mechanics are clear before you step off each platform.

After ziplining, you'll head to a Dominican buffet lunch, then move to the river for a swim in the Anamuya. The water section is optional—you can swim or just sit and take in the landscape if you prefer. This break splits the adrenaline parts of the day and gives you a chance to dry off before the second half.

The afternoon is the buggy ride. You'll drive your own vehicle cross-country from a ranch, not ride as a passenger. Children as young as 8 can participate in ziplining, but only on the first 8 cables of the 12-line course. After cable 8, children under 12 stay in the zipline reception area with dedicated staff while the rest of the group continues, so they don't miss the day—they're supervised while others finish the full circuit.

Do I need a driver's license to ride the buggies?
