Zip Line, Buggy & Horseback Riding in Punta Cana
Eight zip lines, jungle trails on horseback, and a dune buggy run through the backcountry
A six-hour activity in Punta Cana where you pick between three separate adventures — zip lining on eight carbon lines with a suspension bridge, horseback riding through ranches and riverbeds, and dune buggy riding over dirt roads and hills — or combine all three in one day. Hotel pickup and a bilingual guide are included, along with lunch, water and all safety gear. Children from age five are welcome.
The Experience
You're picked up from your hotel and taken to the adventure park, where you can start with whichever activity suits your mood. The zip line course runs eight carbon fiber lines strung between trees, with a suspension bridge connecting two of them; you travel through the canopy on each one in sequence. The horseback section takes you through trails that wind past ranches, hills and riverbeds, ending at a traditional Dominican country house set inside a cacao plantation. The dune buggy ride covers dirt roads and hills through the jungle, mixing open stretches with tree cover and enough terrain to feel the difference between pavement and the backcountry.
Because you choose which activities to do, the day shapes itself around what appeals to you. Some travelers book all three and move through them in a set order; others pick one or two and spend more time on those. A bilingual guide (English, Spanish, French or German) stays with the group throughout, and the operator handles transportation to and from your hotel. Lunch and water come partway through, and all safety equipment — helmets, harnesses for the zip lines — is provided.
The whole experience runs about six hours from pickup to return. The terrain is real enough that you'll feel the difference between each activity: the aerial view from the zip lines, the slower pace of the horse trails, and the rougher ground of the buggy run. This is not a spectator day — you're doing the moving, not watching someone else do it.
