An hour's drive from Punta Cana takes you inland through the Dominican landscape before the road ends at the foot of Montaña Redonda. From there, a 4×4 vehicle climbs the mountain itself: a ride steep enough that a regular car cannot make it. Once at the top, the vista opens across Esmeralda beach on one side and Limón lagoon on the other, with the Caribbean visible from the ridge. You can walk the summit, take photos and stay as long as the schedule allows.
