Step-by-step itinerary

Underwater museum and swim stop

  • Boat ride from Split to museum
  • Swim and snorkel among sculptures
  • Relax at beach with facilities
  • Scenic cruise towards Split
  • Swim and snorkel at Fumija Bay
  • Return panoramic boat ride to Split

The Experience

The boat leaves Split and carries you to a secluded seaside resort with no roads, houses or noise—the only way in is by water. Once there, you have over two and a half hours to swim and snorkel at your own pace. The underwater museum holds more than 50 sculptures, including a sunken airplane and a large statue of Jesus, all visible even from the surface without diving deep. The resort itself has a peaceful beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers and a food bar, so you can rest between water time and still be on the water.

After the museum, the boat takes a scenic route back toward Split and stops for a full hour at Fumija Bay. The water there is crystal clear and turquoise, and it's another chance to swim and snorkel before the final ride back to the city. The whole experience runs about seven hours from start to finish, and the pace is relaxed—you choose how much time to spend in the water and how much on the beach.

Your mask and snorkel tube come with you; the entrance ticket to the museum and resort is included in the price. WiFi is available on board, and there's a restroom. An audio guide in English helps you understand what you're looking at underwater. This tour works for beginners and experienced swimmers alike, and families with children fit in easily.
