The experience
You meet at the diving and water sports center in Tucepi at 10 a.m., board the Lady Butterfly, and the skipper walks you through the boat while you settle in with a glass of sparkling wine. Once you leave the harbor, the wind does the work, and so do you. The skipper explains what to do and stays with you the whole time, so whether you've sailed before or never touched a wheel, you get to take the helm and feel the boat respond. If the wind isn't cooperating, the motor gets you moving anyway.
The route aims for one of the islands (Hvar or Brač, depending on conditions), where you'll stop to swim and snorkel. The skipper picks the spot and handles the navigation. You decide how long to stay in the water. A swim stop is built into the day, not an add-on, so bring a towel or wear quick-dry clothes. The boat carries water, soda and fruit throughout, plus that first glass of sparkling wine when you board.
The whole outing runs six hours from start to finish. Children from age seven can come along, and the boat works for families or groups of friends. You just need at least five people to book it. The skipper speaks English, German or Croatian, so language won't get in the way of understanding what's happening or asking questions about the boat and the islands.
What’s included

- water, soda and fresh fruit throughout the day.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, German and Croatian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (7 to 14 years). Children under 7 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate on the day I'm booked?
The skipper assesses conditions each morning and decides whether to sail under wind or use the motor to reach the islands. Either way, the trip runs as scheduled unless conditions make it unsafe, in which case the operator will reschedule or refund.
Do I need sailing experience to take the helm?
No. The skipper teaches you what to do and stays beside you the whole time. First-timers steer the boat regularly on these trips. The point is to feel how it moves, not to navigate alone.
What's included in the sparkling wine and refreshments?
You get one glass of sparkling wine when you board, then water, soda and fresh fruit throughout the six hours. Alcoholic drinks beyond that first glass are not included.
Can I bring my own snorkel gear, or is it provided?
You bring your own snorkel equipment or rent it separately. The boat does not supply it. Bring a mask and fins if you have them, or arrange rental in advance.
How far are the islands from Tucepi, and how much time do we spend swimming?
The boat sails to Hvar or Brač depending on wind and conditions. Both are within a few kilometers of the coast. The swim and snorkel stop typically lasts an hour, though the skipper adjusts based on the group and the day.
