The Experience

The meeting point opens at 5:30am with coffee, tea, biscuits and fruit before you step into the canoe. Your guide handles the paddle and the route through Tortuguero's meandering canals while you sit low in the boat, binoculars in hand, watching for caimans, sloths, herons and the smaller creatures that move through the water and the trees.
