Ten zip lines, fourteen platforms, one pristine rainforest canopy

Zip line through Braulio Carrillo National Park on 10 cables strung between 14 platforms, gliding above the Atlantic region's lush treetops and misty valleys with an expert guide. The 2.5-hour experience includes short nature walks between lines where you spot tropical birds and giant ferns, plus access to the terrarium and butterfly garden. Children from age 5 are welcome; guides speak English and Spanish.

The Experience

Ten zip lines carry you from platform to platform through the heart of Costa Rica's protected rainforest. Each cable offers a different angle on the canopy—some fast, some long—and the platforms themselves sit high enough that the jungle floor stays hidden beneath the green. Between lines, you walk short stretches of forest where the guide points out the birds and ferns that live here, and the biodiversity that makes this park worth protecting. The whole arc takes 2.5 hours from arrival to finish.

Expert guides handle the safety briefing and gear you up before you step into the canopy. They speak English or Spanish, and they know the forest—what moves in it, what sounds mean, where to look. The experience is built for anyone from age 5 onward with a moderate level of fitness; you need to be at least 3'11" tall and weigh no more than 300 pounds. Hair needs to be tied back or secured before you start.

The package includes access to the terrarium and butterfly garden on the grounds, so you can spend time with the smaller inhabitants before or after the lines. Two purchase options let you add lunch or keep it to the zip-line experience alone—choose at checkout based on how much time you have and whether you want to eat on-site.

Is this one for you?The 10 cables and 14 platforms mean you spend the whole 2.5 hours in motion through the canopy rather than waiting at a single platform—this is continuous flight with nature walks woven in, not a single-line experience. Choose this if you want the adrenaline of sustained zip-lining through an intact rainforest, not a quick thrill or a crowded tour.
