The experience

You start at your chosen pickup point and ride into Sardinal Town on the main street for about twenty minutes, then transition onto rocky and mud roads that cut through the forest. The guide leads the way while you handle the ATV, navigating terrain that opens onto views across the landscape. You'll pass through rivers still surrounded by trees, where the forest closes in around you and the sound of the engine is the only thing breaking the quiet.

The route takes you through Obandito, where you pass through a local village, then continues toward Potrero Beach. Once there, you can stop at Brisas Restaurant to eat or drink, or keep riding. The final stretch includes Playa Prieta, a smaller beach nearby, before the tour loops back to your starting point. Bottled water is provided throughout.

Children from age 10 ride as passengers on the ATVs rather than operating their own. The tour suits riders with moderate fitness. It is not recommended for anyone with cardiovascular concerns. You'll need a valid driver's license to operate an ATV.
