The experience

Your day starts with hotel pickup and a drive to the riding area. Once you're on your own ATV, you navigate mountain trails, tropical forest routes and rugged terrain at your own pace: the guide leads the way and sets the speed. You'll splash through river crossings, cut across dirt paths and climb to viewpoints overlooking the Guanacaste coastline and countryside. Stops along the ride let you swim in natural pools and take photos. Bottled water is provided throughout.

The second half takes you to Diamante Eco Adventure Park, home to the largest concentration of wildlife species in one location. You walk through designed habitats to encounter sloths (both two and three-toed), monkeys, jaguars, pumas, toucans, crocodiles, snakes and exotic birds. The sanctuary is built so animals live in natural settings while remaining accessible for close viewing and photography. Your guide explains animal behavior and conservation as you move through the park.

All skill levels are welcome: no prior ATV experience is necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult. A minimum of two people per booking is required, with two passengers per vehicle. The full day is physically moderate. You should be comfortable with six to seven hours of activity and riding.
