The Experience

The air hits you warm and thick the moment you step off the ship in Limón. Your guide is waiting at the port with a clipboard and a vehicle running — no searching, no negotiating. Within minutes you're heading south toward Cahuita National Park, about thirty minutes down the coast, and the landscape shifts from port sprawl to dense jungle pressing right up to the road.
