The experience

The day starts at a winery in Casablanca Valley, where you taste sparkling wines and still wines in a relaxed setting surrounded by vineyards and mountains. From there, the tour moves to Valparaíso, a port city layered across steep hillsides in shades of blue, yellow, pink and green. You walk past the El Peral and Reina Victoria elevators (historic cable cars that climb the city's vertical streets), and follow the Yugoslav promenade for views across the bay. The Piano staircase and Paseo Atkinson, lined with murals, come next before a one-hour lunch break around 2:30 p.m.

After lunch, the route shifts to Viña del Mar, a seaside resort town where you see the famous flower clock, a working timepiece planted with thousands of blooms. The tour then passes through the city's main avenues (La Marina, San Martín, and Libertad), and stops at Wulff Castle and Playa Blanca for views of the coastline. A final stop is a Moai statue, one of only 20 outside Easter Island, standing in the square of a city museum.

The full experience takes about 9 hours including the 3 hours of round-trip transfers. The vehicle is air-conditioned and equipped with WiFi. Your guide speaks English or Spanish and can adjust the itinerary if your interests shift during the day. Children from age 5 are welcome.
