The experience

Aconcagua Valley sits 90 km from Santiago, where the central Chilean climate and soil give vines time to mature slowly into fuller-bodied wines with distinctive character. The tour visits three wineries chosen from San Esteban (three generations of family terroir work), Flaherty (a boutique winery in a 100-year-old hacienda house), Sánchez de Loria (still using traditional production methods), Peumayen, or Errázuriz (founded in 1870, with underground cellars built over five years). At each stop, a winery expert guides you through the vineyard and production process, then leads a tasting of at least three wines in the sales room or tasting cellar.

Your wine expert guide (fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese or French) frames each tasting by explaining how Aconcagua Valley's conditions produce wines different from the rest of Chile. Breakfast starts the day, and lunch lands at either A la Parrilla (in a historic estate house in San Felipe) or La Ruca (founded in 1967, specializing in traditional Chilean cuisine), depending on availability. Private transportation by car or van handles the full route, and hotel pickup is included.

The tour runs 10 hours door-to-door. Minimum age is 18. A valid ID confirming your age may be requested at the wineries.
