The experience

The morning starts with pickup from your hotel, then a 10-minute drive to the forest edge where the Jeep enters Tijuca National Park. The open vehicle lets you see into the canopy as you climb, and your guide explains the reforestation work that rebuilt this section of the Mata Atlântica after it was cleared in the 1800s.
