Zip, climb and cave-dive in one morning

The Ultimate Adventure Pass at Harrison's Cave combines ziplining at 120 feet, a 14-element high-ropes obstacle course, an underground tram ride through the cave, a nature trail and bird aviary, and a guided tasting of three Mount Gay rums. Hotel pickup is included, and the experience runs about 7 hours. A guide leads the rum tasting; the zipline and ropes course require moderate fitness and full-length clothing.

The Experience

Harrison's Cave sits 1.5 miles underground, and you reach it by electric tram—a slow roll past underground streams and rock formations that sets the scale of the place before you step out. The cave itself is the anchor, but the pass stacks activities around it. You start with the Monkey Zipline, a single run at roughly 120 feet above the ground; then move to the Gully Challenge, a 14-element high-ropes course that chains together climbs, swings and balance beams at height. Both require a harness, gloves and helmet—all provided—and both demand that you wear sneakers and no skirts or dresses. Cameras and phones stay behind; your hands need to be free.

After the ropes work, the pace shifts. The Pride of Barbados Nature Trail and Bird Aviary let you walk at your own speed, and the pool at Green Monkey Pool Bar & Grill is open if you want to cool off. The rum tasting happens in the Rum Lounge near the Harrison's Cave mural—a guided experience where you taste three different Mount Gay rums and learn how Barbados became home to the world's oldest commercial rum distillery. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the pool bar if you want them.

The full day runs 7 hours, and hotel pickup is included. You'll need moderate fitness for the ropes course and the zipline; the weight limit is 285 pounds. Helmets are mandatory for both the tram and the zipline, and if your hair is long, you may need to tuck it to make the helmet fit.
