See Baku's Landmarks Lit Up, Without Planning the Route

A three-hour guided night tour of Baku picks you up from your hotel and moves through eight top attractions — Highland Park, Fountains Square, Baku Boulevard, Little Venice, Nizami Street, the National Flag Square, Mugam center and the National Art Museum — with a professional English-speaking guide and air-conditioned transport included. Hotel pickup and drop-off are part of the booking, and the tour runs at night when the city's lighting transforms the landmarks.

2h–3h

Step-by-step itinerary

Evening tour of Baku's main sights

  • Visit Highland Park and relax
  • Walk along Baku National Boulevard
  • Explore Little Venice on Baku Boulevard
  • Stroll down Nizami Street
  • See Fountains Square

The Experience

The tour starts with hotel pickup and heads to Highland Park, the viewing point that overlooks the Caspian Sea and the city skyline. At night, the stairs and pathways light up, and the park café plays lounge music — a place locals come to rest and breathe the sea air. From there, the route moves to Fountains Square, the central piazza where the fountains reflect the surrounding facades in their silvered spheres, then onto Nizami Street, the traffic-free pedestrian shopping street that runs through downtown.

Baku Boulevard, the world's second-longest boulevard, stretches along the seashore and is where residents and visitors spend their evenings. The tour includes a stop at Little Venice on the boulevard — a small town built in 1960 with islands divided by water channels and connected by ornate bridges. You can hire a four-seater gondola to ride around the islands, and restaurants on the islands serve both Western and Azerbaijani cuisine. The guide is with you throughout, explaining what you're seeing as the city passes by in the vehicle.

The remaining stops cover the National Flag Square, the Mugam center (the traditional music heritage site), and views of the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan and the State Philharmonic Hall. The whole route unfolds over three hours in an air-conditioned vehicle, so you're not walking long stretches between stops — you move through the city and step out at each landmark to take in the night views. The driver handles navigation and timing, and the guide speaks English or Russian depending on your preference.

Top questions

What's the best time of night to take this Baku tour?

The tour operates after dark, when the city's lighting is at its best — the stairs and pathways of Highland Park are especially lit up, and the landmarks along Baku Boulevard and Fountains Square show their nighttime character. The exact departure time depends on the season and sunset, which the operator confirms at booking.

Does the tour include a gondola ride at Little Venice?

Little Venice is a stop on the tour, and you can hire a four-seater gondola to ride around the islands there if you choose — the gondola holds one guide and three passengers. This is optional and arranged on-site, not pre-booked as part of the tour package.

How much walking is involved in this night tour?

The tour moves by air-conditioned vehicle between stops, so walking is minimal — you step out at each landmark to view it and take photos, but you're not hiking or covering long distances on foot. The pace is relaxed, and the tour suits all physical fitness levels.

Is dinner included in the Baku night tour?

Meals are not included in the tour price. The restaurants at Little Venice and other dining spots along the route are available if you want to eat, but you'd pay separately for any food or drinks.

What language does the guide speak?

The guide speaks English or Russian, depending on which you select at booking. A professional driver accompanies the guide throughout the three hours.

Which museums or attractions require paid entry on this tour?

The tour passes the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan and the State Philharmonic Hall, but entrance fees to museums are not included — you view these buildings from outside or from the vehicle. The other stops (parks, boulevards, squares, Little Venice) are accessible without separate admission.
