The experience
The tour leaves your hotel and moves through Baku as darkness falls, when the city's architecture shifts into a different register. The Flame Towers, three curvy structures completed in 2012, display moving flames visible across the skyline, lit by more than 10,000 LED screens. Government House, a Baroque landmark alongside the towers, anchors the old city's character. The guide points out the Heydar Aliyev Mosque, the largest in the Caucasus, and offers a longer stop so you can take in its night-lit Islamic architecture.
The route also passes the Baku Olympic Stadium, a 68,700-seat venue built to international standards, and Crystal Hall, Europe's oldest song contest venue and the country's largest indoor space. The tour includes a stop at a park that offers panoramic views of the city and the bay. You can reach it by climbing stairs or taking a scenic funicular ride. Bottled water and a professional guide are included, and the coach is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible.
