The experience

Quba sits 600 meters up on the north-eastern slopes of Shahdag mountain, and the tour starts with a pickup from your Baku hotel, then a drive north through the Kudyal river valley to reach the city. Once there, you walk through Quba's neighborhoods to see the unique architecture and daily life of local residents: the houses and streets that shape the place. From Quba, the route heads into Qechresh, where dense forests cover the hillsides, and then continues to Afurja waterfall, where the water drops through a narrow gorge.

Lunch happens at Mestdergah waterfall, another cascade in the same range. After eating, you can choose how to spend the afternoon: rent a mountain bike and ride the trails, try karting on a track, or take the teleferic (cable car) up the mountainside. These activities run at Shahdag Mountain Winter & Summer Complex, the resort that operates year-round. You stay overnight in a 4-star hotel in Quba's city center in a double or twin room, with an extra bed available if you need one.

Day three is the return journey to Baku. The tour runs with a minimum of two people per booking, and the price quoted is per person. Your guide speaks either English or Russian and travels with you the whole way. Hotel pickup and drop-off, all transport by private vehicle, breakfast, overnight accommodation, and facility fees at the waterfalls and Shahdag are included. Fuel surcharge is covered.
