The experience

The tour opens with a night drive through Baku's lit landmarks (the Heydar Aliyev Center, Flame Towers, Baku Boulevard and the Ferris Wheel) before returning you to your hotel. The next morning, pickup happens at 9:30 am for the main day trip heading south toward Gobustan. You'll pass the Bibi-Heybat Mosque on the way out, then spend time at Gobustan National Park exploring cave paintings that reach back 40,000 years, followed by the mud volcanoes: conical mounds that erupt with thick, cold grey mud. The itinerary then moves to Ateshgah, a castle-like Zoroastrian fire temple built on Persian and Indian inscriptions, and finishes at Yanar Dag, where natural gas burns continuously on the mountainside.

All entrance fees are covered, and the guide speaks English, Russian or Turkish depending on your group. Two lunches and one dinner are included across the three days. You arrange your own hotel, and the operator handles airport pickups and drop-offs both ways. The vehicle is air-conditioned, and the pace suits all fitness levels.

Day three is a transfer to the airport for your departure.
