The experience

The tour leaves Sydney after peak-hour traffic clears, so you can sleep in and have breakfast at your hotel before heading west. A stop in Glenbrook township gives you a chance to stretch and grab refreshments if you need them. From there, the route climbs into Blue Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its eucalyptus forests, sandstone cliffs and the Three Sisters rock formation.

Once in the park, you walk guided trails through native bushland: the distance and difficulty depend on your fitness, ranging from shorter strolls to hikes around 2–4 km. Wentworth Falls is a highlight: descending the steep stairs into the valley gives you close views of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. You'll also stop at Echo Point Lookout in Katoomba for panoramic views across Jamison Valley and the Three Sisters. Along the way, keep an eye out for wild kangaroos and other native wildlife. The tour may include a stop at Lincoln's Rock (currently closed but reopening April 2026) for a different angle on the Three Sisters.
