The experience

You board double kayaks from the vicinity of Punta Loma after a briefing on paddling technique and safety. A guide accompanies the group throughout, keeping the kayaks close to shore so you can spot the sea lion colony and the countless species of nesting seabirds that line the coast. The protected nature reserve setting means calmer water and a chance to interact with the wildlife without the exposure of open ocean paddling.

The four-hour outing includes the paddle out, time spent near the colony and along the seabird nesting sites, and the return to the starting point. Once back on land, you finish with a hot drink before the air-conditioned vehicle returns you to Puerto Madryn. Wetsuit and kayak clothing are provided, along with a snack of fruit and other items during the activity.
