The experience
You spend the first two hours on horseback moving through the vineyards of Finca Bandini, an estate in Las Compuertas surrounded by Mendoza's wine-growing landscape. The ride is paced to let you take in the scenery and the terrain from a vantage point most visitors never reach. A live guide in English or Spanish leads the way and speaks to the land and the wine-growing that shapes it.
After dismounting, you move to lunch: a three-course seasonal menu designed around Mendoza's flavors and paired with wines from the estate. The menu opens with Argentine empanadas served with traditional sauce, moves to a meat dish with seasonal vegetables, and closes with an Argentine dessert. The wines are chosen to match each course.
The full outing runs four hours. You'll need to arrange your own transportation to Finca Bandini in Las Compuertas. The winery does not provide pickup. The experience is suitable for all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers.
