The Experience
Most water tours in Antigua stick to one thing — kayaking or snorkeling, pick one. This one doesn't. You start in an air-conditioned truck that picks you up from your hotel, then spend the morning moving between three different ways of being on the water: kayaking through the lagoons from Galleon Beach toward Nelson's Dockyard, where the historical sites sit right there on the shoreline, then switching to snorkeling gear at Turtle Beach to see actual turtles, shipwrecks, and the reef systems underneath. The whole thing takes a few hours, and you're not sitting still the whole time.
The kayaking part runs through beautiful lagoons where you see diverse ocean life as you go — it's not a crowded tour boat, it's you in a kayak moving at your own pace. After that, the snorkeling happens at Turtle Beach, which is where the turtles actually are, not just a name on the itinerary. You get snorkel sets, life vests, and inflatable paddle boards if you want to switch it up in the water. The guide knows where to look. Then you come back to the beach, cool down with cold beverages — water and alcoholic drinks are both included — and they'll have photos and videos from the day ready for you.
Pickup happens island-wide from your hotel, so you don't need to arrange transport or figure out how to get to Galleon Beach on your own. If you only want kayaks or paddle boards without the full tour, they rent those separately too. The whole experience is built around not having to plan the logistics yourself.
