The experience
The boat leaves Sarandë in the morning and makes five short stops, each around 15 to 25 minutes, at Kakome, Gremina, Soldiers Bay, Roijdhes Bay, and Turtles Cave, a 10-minute detour near the starting point. At each one you get in the water with a mask. The operator provides masks but no tubes, a hygiene choice that means you breathe through your nose. The water is clear enough that the stops themselves are the point: small beaches, rock formations, and the cave entrance are what you come to see and swim around.
Kroreza is the day's anchor: a three-hour stop on a proper beach where sunbeds and umbrellas wait, and where several traditional restaurants sit right at the shore. This is where you eat if you want to. The boat carries a fridge for drinks and snacks you bring yourself. The captain speaks English and stays with the group. After Kroreza the boat heads back toward Saranda, timed so you arrive near the coast as the sun sets, then returns to the meeting point where you started.
The whole outing runs about five and a half hours from start to finish. You'll need to be comfortable in the water and able to get in and out of the boat. The operator notes the tour is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries or pregnant travelers. Infants can come along, they sit on an adult's lap, and the boat is accessible to people of all fitness levels.

Operated by Leonardo Boat Tours
Is this one for you?You operate the snorkel gear yourself at each stop, so this suits anyone comfortable in the water and ready to explore on their own terms. The private boat means your group sets the pace at each site (linger longer at one cove or move on faster), and the three-hour beach break at Kroreza lets you choose whether to relax, swim more, or eat lunch ashore.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
How much time do I actually spend snorkeling versus traveling between stops?
Each of the five short stops lasts 15 to 25 minutes in the water, then the boat moves to the next site. Kroreza, the longest stop, gives you three hours to swim, relax on the beach, or eat at one of the restaurants there. The boat ride between stops is part of the tour but not the focus.
What's included in the snorkeling gear, and do I need to bring my own?
Masks for snorkeling are provided. The operator does not use tubes for hygiene reasons. You breathe through your nose. If you have your own mask or prefer a different setup, bring it, but the basics are covered.
Can I eat lunch on the boat, or do I have to buy it at Kroreza?
Lunch is not included in the tour price. At Kroreza, several traditional restaurants sit on the beach and serve food. You order and pay there. The boat carries a fridge for drinks and snacks you bring yourself.
What time does the tour end, and is it really timed to sunset?
The tour lasts around five and a half hours total. The return to Saranda is timed so you're near the coast as the sun sets, then you head back to the meeting point. Exact sunset time depends on the season, so the endpoint shifts with it.
Is this tour private, or will there be other groups on the boat?
This is a private boat tour, so it's just your group. The captain and the boat are yours for the day.
