The Experience
The boat leaves Saranda and heads to Kroreza Beach, where you spend two and a half hours. This is the main stop—the company sets up free umbrellas and sunbeds, so you can swim, snorkel or sunbathe without arranging shade. Restaurants are there if you want a meal. The water is shallow enough for families, and snorkel masks come with the trip.
After Kroreza, the boat makes five shorter stops. Kakome Beach has clear water and takes twenty minutes. Kepi i Qefalit (locals call it Gremina, meaning "the abyss") is the owner's favorite—the water sits against volcanic rock formations, and you get twenty minutes to swim or photograph it. Plazhi i Ridhes is another twenty-minute beach stop with views of the flora and wildlife. Anchor Cave, accessible only by boat, is a ten-minute photo stop; locals found an ancient ship's anchor here centuries ago and named the cave after it. Shpella e Milotit, the last stop, is also ten minutes—the cave's shape resembles a turtle shell, which is how it got its name.
You can bring your own food and drinks to eat whenever you want during the day. Water and a drink are provided, and music plays onboard. The trip runs five hours total, which fits into a morning or an afternoon without eating up the whole day.
