The experience
The tour starts at the cruise port and moves through Nha Trang by private minivan with your own guide. Long Son Pagoda anchors the day: the largest temple in the city, rebuilt many times since 1886, with a bronze Buddha statue 1.6 metres high and a 17-metre reclining Buddha carved into the hillside. Po Nagar Cham Towers, built between the 7th and 12th centuries, still stand after more than a thousand years. The bricks and construction method have outlasted modern attempts to fully understand how they were made. The Stone Church sits on a hillside with gray stone walls and Gothic-French architecture, inside a brass bell cast by the French foundry Carillon Bourdon.
Hon Chong brings you to massive rock formations stacked along the coast. One carries the legend of a giant's handprint, another resembles a woman cradling a child. The National Oceanographic Museum, housed in a French-colonial building from 1923, holds 60,000 jars of preserved marine specimens, stuffed birds and sea mammals, plus displays of local fishing boats and methods. Dam Market, operating since 1974, fills with colour and activity. It's where locals shop and where photographers find the texture of daily life in the city. Lunch happens at a local restaurant partway through the day, and your guide speaks English throughout.
Because the tour is private, the pace and stops adjust to what interests you most. The five- to eight-hour window depends on how long you spend at each site and whether you want to add or skip anything. Port pickup and drop-off are built in, so you return to the ship on time.

Is this one for you? This is a private tour, so your guide works only for your group and the itinerary can shift based on what you want to see. Choose it if you prefer a flexible pace and the ability to linger at temples or skip the museum: a shared group tour locks you into fixed timing and stops. The five- to eight-hour window means you control how deep you go into each site and still make it back to the ship on time.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What is Long Son Pagoda and why is it the main stop on this tour?
Long Son Pagoda is Nha Trang's largest temple, built in 1886 and rebuilt several times since. It holds a 1.6-metre bronze Buddha statue in the main hall and a 31-metre seated Buddha statue on Trai Thuy hill that dominates the skyline. The tour includes it because of its size, age and the scale of its sculptures.
Can I see the Oceanographic Museum and the market on the same day?
Yes, both are stops on the itinerary. The National Oceanographic Museum occupies a French-colonial building and displays marine specimens, stuffed animals and fishing artefacts. Dam Market is a working market where locals trade and tourists photograph daily life. The tour visits both in a single day.
How long does the tour take and can I adjust the stops?
The tour runs five to eight hours depending on how long you spend at each site. Because it's private, you can customize the itinerary. Add stops, skip sites or spend more time at places that interest you most. Your guide will work with your preferences.
What is included in the price?
The tour includes port pickup and drop-off, private transport by air-conditioned minivan, a professional English-speaking guide for the full day, and lunch at a local restaurant. Personal expenses like souvenirs or extra drinks are not included.
Do I need to arrange my own way to the tour, or does it start at the ship?
Pickup happens at Cam Ranh port, so you don't arrange separate transport. The minivan collects you from the cruise terminal and returns you there at the end of the day.
