The experience
The tour leaves Cam Ranh Port and heads into Nha Trang City by car, with your guide providing context on the history and culture as you travel. Long Son Pagoda sits at the foot of a mountain. You can climb the stairs to see the giant Buddha statue on a lotus flower, one of the city's most visited temples. From there you move to Ponagar Cham Towers on Cù Lao Mountain, a temple complex believed to date before 781 C.E. and dedicated to the goddess Yan Po Nagar Cham. After a lunch break and rest, the route takes you to Hon Chong, a rock formation offering views of the mountainous coastline and nearby islands, where your guide shares stories of the communities around it.
The afternoon includes Dam Market, where you can walk among the stalls and interact with locals selling produce, seafood and everyday goods. The National Oceanographic Museum of Nha Trang, established in 1923, covers 22,000 square meters and houses millions of specimens of fish, corals and rare marine animals. It functions as both a research facility and a tourist space for anyone interested in marine life and conservation. Your guide is with you throughout, and the air-conditioned vehicle waits between stops. Once the tour finishes, you return to Cam Ranh Port in time to board your cruise.
