The Experience

Hanoi's tea culture runs deeper than the street vendors and café corners. This workshop sits in a hidden garden villa away from the bustling streets, where a Cultural Storyteller walks you through the craft of three signature teas—each one tied to a different moment in Vietnamese life. You start with a welcome herbal drink while you settle in, then move straight to the hands-on work: learning how to brew Daily Tea, Lotus Tea (which carries the fragrance of West Lake's summer blooms), and Fusion Tea. Each one tastes different because each one is made differently, and the storyteller explains not just the technique but why these teas matter to the people who drink them every day.

The second half shifts to coffee. Hanoi has its own coffee traditions—slow drips, sweetened condensed milk, the ritual of sitting still while it brews—and you'll craft three iconic versions, learning the methods that make each one distinct. Between the teas and coffees, you're tasting constantly, which means you're not just learning the steps; you're understanding why they work. The workshop closes with a tasting of homemade Vietnamese fruit liqueurs, each one made with its own story. By the end, you leave with a certificate (if you want one) and a PDF file so you can brew lotus tea the way you learned it, at home.
