The Experience

The ride starts with pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Hoi An, then heads straight to the Marble Mountains—five limestone peaks named after the five natural elements, rising from the coast near Da Nang. You spend around 90 minutes here walking through Water Mountain, the only accessible peak, where ancient stone stairways lead into hidden caves, Buddhist pagodas carved into the rock, and viewpoints over the city and coastline. Water and soft drinks are included before you ride on to the Dragon Bridge, Da Nang's 666-meter golden dragon spanning the Han River, where you stop to photograph the city before the real adventure begins.

The Hai Van Pass is the centerpiece—a 21-kilometer winding mountain road climbing to around 500 meters, famous worldwide after the Top Gear Vietnam Special. You'll ride past dramatic cliffs, endless ocean views, and misty peaks, stopping at the Hai Van Quan Gate, a historic gateway built in 1826 during the Nguyen Dynasty, and at abandoned French and American bunkers. The operator stops frequently for photos and one of the most striking coffee breaks in Vietnam, where mountains and ocean stretch in front of you. After the pass, you reach Lang Co Beach, a quiet golden-sand bay tucked between mountains and sea, where lunch is freshly prepared with vegetarian and vegan options available. A few minutes further along the coast sits Lap An Lagoon, framed by Bach Ma Mountains and famous for its traditional oyster farms—you can walk the waterfront, watch local fishermen, and photograph the wooden oyster racks stretching across the water.

The final stop before your drop-off is Suoi Mo Waterfall, a hidden natural pool deep in the mountains where crystal-clear water flows into natural swimming holes surrounded by dense forest. This is where you slow down and cool off after the coastal ride. Depending on which route you chose—one-way to Hue, one-way to Da Nang, or a loop back to Hoi An—your ending changes: the one-way to Hue continues through Tam Giang Lagoon, Southeast Asia's largest lagoon system, and the Abandoned Water Park, a jungle-reclaimed complex with a giant dragon-shaped structure you can climb into for views over a pine-forested lake. Loop tours return via Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula, home to Vietnam's tallest Lady Buddha statue at 67 meters, with panoramic views of the coastline and East Sea. You can ride your own motorbike or sit as a pillion passenger with an experienced guide; helmets, protective gear, and rain ponchos are provided, and luggage is transferred for you.
