The experience
La Jolla Indian Adventure Park sits within easy driving distance of San Diego or Los Angeles, making it a half-day escape from the city. The park's three mega-ziplines let you choose your line and your pace: the longest stretches over 2,700 feet, and the parallel setup means you can zip alongside a friend or family member, racing or simply sharing the moment. Speeds climb to 55mph as you cross oak forest, Pauma Valley, and views toward Palomar Mountain and the La Jolla Indian Reservation.
The whole experience runs 1.5 hours from start to finish. A guide leads the group through the course, and all safety equipment (harness, helmet, gloves) is provided and fitted on-site. You'll climb stairs and hike across uneven terrain to reach each line, so the activity demands active participation and moderate fitness. Closed-toe shoes are required. Very short shorts are not recommended.
Check-in includes a discrete weight check (guests must weigh between 65 and 250 pounds) and a height measurement (48 inches minimum). You'll complete a waiver before you arrive if possible, or on-site if needed. Children under 14 must have a ticketed, participating adult on the course with them. Kids 14–17 need an adult either zipping alongside or staying on-site for the duration. Guides speak English and Spanish, and the park welcomes children from age 7 onward.
