The experience
You start with a harness fitting and a short orientation, then head into the trees. The Family Adventure Course runs 8 zip lines strung through the canopy and above the resort pool, paired with a 12-section ropes course that keeps you moving between platforms. The Eagle's Nest is the faster option: 4 longer lines that soar over a BMX track, a mining sluice, and open terrain, with views of Topa Topa Mountain stretching across the lemon groves below.
After the zip lines, the day doesn't end. You have access to everything else at Ventura Ranch KOA: a 2,000 sqft jumping pillow, one of the world's largest boulder labyrinths to walk through, a seasonal resort pool to cool off in, and Santa Paula Creek for a hike. The whole experience runs about two hours on the courses themselves, leaving time to use the other facilities or simply rest.
A live guide leads you through both courses in English or Spanish, and all safety gear (harness, gloves, helmet) is provided. The activity is open Saturdays, and children can join from age 12 onward as long as they have moderate physical fitness.

Is this one for you?Choose the Family Adventure Course if you want a mix of zip lines and ropes work that keeps you moving between platforms. Pick the Eagle's Nest if you prefer longer, faster lines over open terrain. Both courses suit anyone with moderate fitness from age 12 up, and the two-hour timeframe leaves room to use the pool, jumping pillow, or maze afterward without rushing.
