The boat cruise is the seasonal centerpiece: a 40–50 minute narrated ride along the Potomac River departing from Georgetown, where you'll have time to grab lunch on your own before boarding. If you're traveling between mid-March and mid-October, this cruise is included. In winter, the operator adds extra stops at the Jefferson Memorial and Air Force Memorial instead, plus a lunch break at Pentagon Mall (food at your own cost). What if I'm visiting during cherry blossom season?

If you're traveling in late March or early April when the cherry blossoms are in bloom, you'll have time to walk along the trees at the Tidal Basin. The National Park Service announces peak bloom dates closer to the season. The trees are a seasonal highlight, but the 10+ memorial stops and sightseeing are the core of the tour regardless.

Do I need to arrange lunch, or is it included?

Lunch is on your own. If the boat cruise is operating, you'll have time to eat at Georgetown Washington Harbor before boarding. In winter, there's a 45–60 minute lunch stop at Pentagon Mall, also at your own cost.
