The experience

The bus departs in the evening and moves through the National Capital, stopping at or passing major sites across the city. You'll see the White House, the US Capitol building's west side, the Washington Monument, and memorials to Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson. The guide covers the stories behind each stop: the Civil War at the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial, the history of World War II at its memorial, the significance of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Korean War Veterans Memorial. Ford's Theatre, where President Lincoln was assassinated, is included on the route.

The coach is equipped with air conditioning, phone chargers at each seat, and complimentary water and snacks for the journey. A bilingual staff member narrates throughout, so you hear the context for what you're seeing rather than simply passing landmarks.
