The Experience

The tour starts with a drive through Sedona's most photographed landmarks—Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock and Courthouse Butte—and passes the movie locations where they've been filmed. A guide narrates the geology and rock formations as you move through the landscape, so you understand what you're looking at instead of just passing it by.

The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a 20-minute stop where you enter the chapel, visit the gift shop and see the relics of the 12 apostles. Outside, the guide talks about the geology and rock formations framing the chapel, and you get time to photograph the views. From there, the route goes through Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village, where the guide explains the village's history and what to look for in the galleries and shops—you're free to browse on your own or stay with the group.

A second 20-minute stop at a famous overlook gives you time for more photos and the guide adds more history and geological detail about the formations you've seen. The whole tour runs 2.5 hours, and parking is covered in the price.
