The experience
You don't need a license or a classroom to strap on a tank. This dive is built for people who want to experience weightlessness and marine life without committing to a certification course. Your guide, Laura Parke, is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and a registered nurse who has logged dives since childhood and specializes in first-timers. She meets you at the dive site in Miami: no crowded group briefing, no cattle-call logistics. The dive runs four hours and stays small: it's you, your guide, and the reef.
Underwater, you'll move through a hidden trail where thousands of fish school around you, and you might spot sea stars, rays, blowfish, seahorses or octopus. Your guide stays with you the entire time, managing your buoyancy and air supply so you can focus on what's in front of you. The reef itself is the instruction: she points out what you're seeing and how to move safely through it. You'll carry a fish ID card and a dive site map so you know what you're looking at.
Before you enter the water, you'll sign a medical waiver confirming you're in good health and free of conditions that would make diving unsafe: spinal injuries, lung disease, poor cardiovascular health and pregnancy are contraindications. Children must be at least 10 years old. After the dive, you'll receive professional photographs of your underwater experience, so the memory stays sharp.
